I love books, the smell and feel of them - especially a good old leather bound edition. I have a Kobo aura and it's not the same. I often thought about learning bookbinding as a hobby but as yet I haven't gotten around to it.
I absolutely LOVE cooking....so long as they're a good cook and I personally know people who have sampled their stuff before without visiting the hospital.
I can enjoy a hot tart the same as anyone else. My culinary skills are a work in progress. I sometimes struggle with patience that's all but I can do very well when I apply myself.
I love DIY and I can be quite handy at it. When I make mistakes or make things worse I try to cover it up and keep it to myself to keep my pride. I can put up shelves, doors, make cupboards and put down rugs. I can paint and decorate too (sometimes in my underpants to save clothes) kidding of course I don't wear underpants!
Things I have always wanted to get into include metalworking, woodworking and carving and playing the guitar (I learned the chords and gave up) same with the harmonica - I learned the Eastenders theme tune and never picked it up again! Pottery and sculpting (I loved it at college)
I love the outdoors too walking, running, swimming and camping. I usually run 2 or 3 times a week along the canal.
I am not into extreme sports although I can see the appeal. I have seen too many broken legs and ankles from skydiving to put me off and if there is a bad landing you can't even sue.
I used to be in to the new age big time I was channelling and dowsing, giving readings all kinds of things. I love nature, wildlife and gardening, especially growing my own fruit and veg.
I have never gone paintballing or rafting so next time there's an opportunity with some friends my name is definitely down for those. Karting is one of my favourite leisure activities. I haven't been traveling for while as I have been too busy but I am looking forward to further trips. Australia is a must.
